MOVIRY PRIVACY POLICY Effective August 13, 2026 ยท Version 6 Moviry helps you identify movies from links and organize a personal watchlist. This policy explains what information Moviry collects, why it is used, and the choices available to you. WHO OPERATES MOVIRY Moviry is operated by Viktoriia Yaremenko in the United States. For applicable privacy laws, Viktoriia Yaremenko is the controller or business responsible for the personal information described in this policy. INFORMATION WE COLLECT We collect account information such as your email address, internal user identifier, and authentication provider. We also store the movies, notes, watchlist status, preferences, and public social-media links you choose to submit. Usage and technical records may include an installation identifier, session and request identifiers, detection status, source hashes, feature interactions, timestamps, app and operating-system versions, device model, error details, and limited diagnostic metadata needed to operate and secure Moviry. We do not use this information to track you across other companies' apps or websites. HOW AND WHY WE USE INFORMATION We use information to create and secure accounts, maintain watchlists and preferences, identify movies from submitted links, enforce the monthly detection allowance, provide support, prevent abuse, troubleshoot failures, and improve reliability. Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal bases are performance of our contract with you for core app functions, our legitimate interests in security, abuse prevention, diagnostics, and service improvement, compliance with legal obligations, and consent where the law requires it. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. AI DETECTION AND SERVICE PROVIDERS When you request movie detection, the submitted public link and available public video metadata may be processed by service providers used to retrieve social-media metadata, analyze clues, and match movie information. These providers currently include Supabase for authentication and storage, Apify for public web data retrieval, and Anthropic for AI-assisted analysis. To match or enrich a movie, Moviry may send search information such as the title, year, media type, and preferred language to TMDB and receive movie metadata, credits, ratings, descriptions, and images. Apple or Google may process sign-in information when you choose their login services. SHARING AND DISCLOSURE We disclose information only to service providers that help operate Moviry, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users, the service, or our legal rights. Providers receive only information reasonably needed for their role. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS Moviry is operated from the United States, and its providers may process information in the United States and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we take appropriate steps to protect transferred personal information, which may include recognized transfer mechanisms and provider safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. RETENTION AND SECURITY Account, settings, and watchlist information is retained while your account is active. Diagnostic events are normally deleted after 7 days. Detection and allowance records may be retained while needed for caching, allowance enforcement, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service security. Apple refresh tokens are stored only to revoke Apple authorization when an account is deleted. After deletion, limited backup copies may remain temporarily according to infrastructure-provider schedules, and limited records may be retained when legally required. We use reasonable technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; and appeal or complain to a privacy regulator. Residents of California and other U.S. states may also have rights to know, correct, and delete personal information and to opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. Moviry does not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising. You may exercise applicable rights without discrimination by emailing melakwa.labs@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. YOUR CHOICES AND ACCOUNT DELETION You may edit or remove watchlist items in Moviry and permanently delete your account and associated personal data from Settings. You may also contact melakwa.labs@gmail.com for privacy assistance. Global movie-detection cache records that are not linked to your account may remain available to the service. Information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. CHILDREN Moviry is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If local law requires a higher minimum age to consent to online data processing, users below that age may use Moviry only with authorization from a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate authorization. CHANGES AND CONTACT We may update this policy as Moviry changes.
